Poser 6, Lesson 6
Began experimenting with Lighting. Results, such as they are (I got distracted very quickly) are found at Lighting Experiments.
By following the instructions, I got James to look like this:

By turning off the Key and Fill lighting, then moving the backfill light around, I got this (rendered as a jpg and reduced in size in Photoshop CS3, then Saved for Web.
Then I read the rest of the tutorial, including the part of saving as anything but jpg. So I saved it as PSD, opened it there and looked for an alpha channel. No joy.
I also learned that I can apply materials to lights. This sounded like fun, so I applied a clouds texture to the Intensity of the backfill light, turned on the fill light changed the color to 255/85/85, and Firefly rendered as PSD (file size: 1.16 MB), opened it in PSCS3, saved for web (file size: 9KB). Here it is:

Same deal as a Poser 4 render (1.16.MB) saved for web (8KB):

The Poser 4 render is not nearly as sharp, as the Firefly; a lot of detail around the eyes is missing.
