Week 2

We took this week's assignment as one which dealt primarily with technical familiarity with our camera, an Olympus D520Zoom. We spent a good deal of time:

poring over the little manual that came with the camera (in five languages),
printing out an poring over the full manual that came on the CD,
checking the Olympus website,
finding the FAQ page for the D520,
emailing their help desk, and
receiving the following message:

The D520 Zoom is a point-and-shoot camera. You cannot change the shutter speed or the aperture.

Well, al-l-l-l-RIGHTy, then!

So we played with the spot metering. We played with the EV. We playing with the white point (not shown, because it wasn't really part of the assignment. Maybe later.)
